Join Wild Mind at Yazoo FunkFest
Wild Mind is bringing the funk to Tennessee for Yazoo Brewing’s FunkFest on Sunday, April 29. This event will highlight some of the best mixed fermentation ales and other sours from across the country. FunkFest18 is also taking place during the 2018 Craft Brewers Conference in Nashville, so it’s sure to be an extra wild time.
- Hot Lips - Named for the bright pink paint in our Barrel Takeout Room, Hot Lips is a mixed fermentation sour conditioned on dragonfruit, passionfruit, vanilla beans, and coconut. This sweet, tropical sour was aged in oak barrels for 18 months and pours a bright, vivid pink.
Arillus - a golden sour aged on pomegranate in red wine barrels for more than a year. This beer was blended from several barrels to balance the acidity of the base beer with the sweet, tart flavor of the pomegranate.
Spontané: Bramble - This single-year blend of our first 100 percent spontaneously fermented wild ale was inoculated overnight in our custom-made coolship and then fermented on blackberries, cherries, and boysenberries. The truly wild ale was refermented in the bottle and has notes of dark currants and fresh berries with a strong base of barnyard funk.
